HOW DOES HOME STAGING WORK?
We come to your home and start at the curb. We give you a plan which will present your home with the greatest impact. An initial consultation will determine your needs and what we will accomplish. We prepare a plan using existing furnishings, where possible, to show your home like a model. There will be a walk-through of your entire home to assess how you can use what you already have to present your house in the best light. We measure your rooms, note architectural features and furnishings, and take photos. We discuss paint colors, accessories, lighting, floor coverings, window treatments and traffic flow.
Dressing Rooms Home Styling will use this information to design a plan for staging your home for quick sale. We provide a detailed list of repairs and improvements that could be essential to sale. We will suggest re-organization, de-cluttering, cleaning, painting, repairing, sprucing up and accessorizing. This is your “honey-do” list. It is up to you to implement. You decide how much time and expense you choose to invest in this step. You may make the improvements yourself, with family and friends, or hire them out.
Once we have assessed the strengths and weaknesses of your home, formulated a plan, and implemented improvements, Dressing Rooms Home Styling will return to rearrange furniture, place artwork, lighting, floor coverings and accessories, preparing your home to appeal to most buyers.
